Marshall over East Carolina – I’m sticking with The Thundering Herd to pull their 3rd consecutive upset this week. I’ve won with them the last 2 weeks and once again think they are the better team and have a nice home edge. RB Darius Marshall now leads the NCAA in rushing and they have a very underrated defensive front 7. Last year on CBS College Sports I did a weekly segment every Thursday in which I picked a surprise QB, RB, WR and Defense of the Week plus gave them my Upset Pick of the Week. I will do the same thing this year for everyone here on PhilSteele.com every Thursday!

A special thanks to our friends at CFFinsider.com for their Fantasy Rankings for week 5.
Last week we had Texas A&M’s Jerrod Johnson rated as our #1 quarterback, and he didn’t disappoint with a six touchdown performance. How does Johnson stack up this week? Our numbers say he is behind fantasy heavyweights G.J. Kinne from Tulsa and Case Keenum from Houston. Harvey Unga makes his first appearance in our top five. The burly BYU back is finally healthy and up against Utah State. We see a big day for the BYU offense this week. T.Y. Hilton tops our list of wide receivers for the second straight week; can he deliver again? At tight end we are still looking for someone to step it up with Jermaine Gresham and Rob Gronkowski out for the year. Facing Washington State, we see Ed Dickson having a repeat performance of last week. Looking for a defense? Not surprising to see two teams dipping into the FCS ranks for opponents, Boise State and South Carolina, topping our list this week.
