Part of Phil's problem here was an overemphasis on last year's game in Eugene.
I don't think he realized that UCLA had gotten the benefit of playing WAZZU the previous week(almost like a bye), while Oregon had played U$C.

You might consider picking Oregon's Defense after they get back from whipping up on BYE next week. Too bad you haven't been paying enough attention to realize they have only given up one touchdown drive of more than 30 yards in the past three games - now 4 games.

Oh, and here is another tip: LaMichael James

Just put up 152 yards on the #20 defense in the country.

Last week I warned Phil about picking UCLA, but apparently he didn't learn. Hope he's right, though.

Actually if you read my Thursday blog which is the one in which I predict players of the week for the upcoming week, I used LeFevour as my QB of the week in their 48-21 win over Akron and hit 74% of his passes for 197 yds with a 4-1 ratio and added 140 rush yds (7.4) and another 2 TDs which was a dominating WIN! I like to mix it up on my players of the week and pick from different teams and different conferences but obviously that won't be the last time you see LeFevour's name on my list!

is there any methodology other than feel to your pick of UCLA to win against Oregon?

In reviewing your top 25 picks, you stayed within a few points of your computer projections for every other game. You only flipped Ole Miss V Ala in final result.

In the UCLA V UO game you flipped the predicted outcome and dropped Oregon's points significantly.

Thank You
