Week 6 Fantasy College Football Sneaky Plays
Do you need roster help this weekend, but missed out on the hot waiver wire pick ups? Here are some sneaky, under-the-radar players who have favorable matchups this week. A special thanks to our friends at collegefootballgeek.com for providing us with their Sneaky Plays for week 6.
Quarterbacks
Paul McCall (FIU) vs. Western Kentucky
McCall posted a 300 yard, 3 TD games last week again ULM and should be able to match those numbers this week against the Hilltoppers, whose total defense ranks No. 119 in the land.
Ryan Coburn (Fresno State) vs. Hawaii
When he’s not handing off to Ryan Mathews, Coburn will be chucking the rock against the Rainbow Warriors traditionally poor pass defense in what could be a high-scoring affair on the Island.
Running Backs
Mikell Simpson (Virginia) vs. Indiana
Simpson had be hampered by injuries early in the season, but he seemed 100% last week against a stout UNC defense with 24 touches for 145 yards and a score. He should be able to build upon that success against a weak Indiana squad.
Ike Nduka (Buffalo) vs. Gardner Webb
Nduka got his first start last week against Central Michigan and looked good (22-172-0). He should be able to rip through the Runnin’ Bulldogs defense.
Dmitri Nance (Arizona State) vs. Washington State
Nance has quietly scored 5 touchdowns on the young season, and is averaging 26 touches over his last couple games. Look for him to post a solid statline against cellar dweller Wazzu.
Wide Receivers
Max Komar (Idaho) vs. San Jose State
Komar exploded last week against Colorado State for 12 catches, 152 yards and a score. He has another favorable match up this week against SJSU’s 110th ranked defense.
Chris McGaha (Arizona State) vs. Washington State
A good rule of thumb in fantasy leagues: start everyone you can against Wazzu. McGaha caught a whopping 15 balls last week against Oregon State, so a 7-8 catch performance this week is reasonable..
Tight End
Derrick Morris (La Tech) vs. Nevada
Nevada has one of the worst pass defenses in the country. La Tech will need to throw more than last week to keep up with the Wolfpack on their home turf, and Morris should be a part of the equation.
Defenses
Rutgers vs. Texas Southern
Miami (FL) vs. Florida A&M
North Carolina vs. Georgia Southern
