While Wyoming has been discussed in the past couple of bowl blogs as having some of the worst stats of any bowl team, they do feature three of the top 20tacklers in the NCAA led by Brian Hendricks who ranks #6 in the NCAA avg 11 tackles per game (110 total)

SMU’s Chase Kennemer who ranks #13 in the NCAA avg 10.5 tpg (126 total) will have plenty of opportunites in the Hawaii Bowl to add to his total as the Mustangs face the nation’s top rated rush offense in Nevada.

The Independence Bowl features two of the top players. Texas A&M has Von Miller who ranks #5 in the NCAA with 21 TFL’s and Georgia has Justin Houston who ranks #7 avg 1.67 TFL’s per game.

Both North Carolina and Pittsburgh are aggressive defensively and they have two of the top players here in NC’s Robert Quinn and Pitt’s Mick Williams which should give both offenses in the Car Care Bowl problems.
