Since there are 39 games involving FBS vs FCS teams this week, I thought I would include a blog that gives you my computer’s projected box score complete with yards rushing, passing, points and turnovers and also a detailed write-up concerning the game. Finally I have included my Forecast for every game at the bottom. I doubt you will be able to find any sort of detailed information concerning FCS teams and I want to again point out that my SEC/ACC/Big East regional mag has a full page on all 124 FCS teams! Since chances are likely your favorite team plays an FCS school this year (89 total games), why not become an expert on that FCS opponent by purchasing the regional for just $13.70 (includes priority shipping)! Just call our offices at 1-866-918-7711 or visit the PhilSteele.com store.
I will be back later today with my Top 25 forecasts for this week.

The college football season is fast approaching and in today’s blog I will give you a sneak peak at some of the early marquee college football non-conference games and how I think they will shake out as of right now. Also included is your current voting tallies for each of these games.
Remember if you visit the homepage right now, you can get a head start on voting in the Non-Conference Poll with all the non-conference games. To see where you rank against other voters, as soon as your vote is entered in, you will see the % stacked with or against you. In the next day or two the four remaining non-BCS conferences will be added on the front page. The Non-Conference Poll will run until Sunday, Aug 29th. On Monday the 30th, look for the Weekly Polls to start. There are games every day Thursday September 2nd thru Monday September 6th as the first week of the season looks to kick off with a bang! Weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the season. Read more…

Every week this season I posted my forecasts of all the games involving Top 25 teams As usual, it includes my computer’s projected box score for each game.
The Regular season finished up with the Top 25 Forecasts going 212-62 77.4% picking the winners of each game. That record may sound great, but do keep in mind most games have involved teams that were big favorites so the majority of people will have a solid record on these games as well. I also listed some Upset Specials, which pulled the upset 17 out of 36 times this season. Combined the regular season record is 229- 81 73.9%!!
This week there are no games involving Top 25 teams so similar to the last two weeks, I will include my forecasts for the FCS/Division IAA Playoffs as well as the Army/Navy game.

Marshall over East Carolina – I’m sticking with The Thundering Herd to pull their 3rd consecutive upset this week. I’ve won with them the last 2 weeks and once again think they are the better team and have a nice home edge. RB Darius Marshall now leads the NCAA in rushing and they have a very underrated defensive front 7. I haven’t been that impressed with East Carolina so far this year and I think the Herd will make it 3 wins in a row as my Upset of the Week.

OHIO over Connecticut – Ohio was just 4-8 last year and takes on a Connecticut team that won their bowl game 38-20 last year over the MAC champs. I think the Bobcats pull the upset at home. UC lost the focal point of their offense in RB Donald Brown and will be moving to an offense that relies on the pass but has only average receivers. They also lost 3 additional 2nd round draft picks at LT, DE and CB. Ohio is my #2 Most Improved Team in the country and is at home for this and should be sky high. Ohio also rates the edge on special teams.
