The Daily blog will be undergoing some changes in the coming months now that the college football season is complete. Starting this week I will be going to a Monday, Wednesday and weekend blog format until magazine season is over in late spring/early summer. Today’s blog will start analyzing this years bowl games giving you the top players and performances from the past bowl season. In the next blog on Wednesday I will give you who has the longest winning/losing streaks overall, home and away in college football. This Saturday and Sunday I will give you my forecasts for the NFL divisional games played that day including my computer’s projected box score of the games. Next week will feature my projection of what the Preseason AP top 10 will be for 2010 and that will be coming after January 15th when juniors have to declare or not declare for the NFL Draft.

Yesterday I had a 5-0 day in my forecasts including three outright upsets! I picked Florida to win big over Cincinnati as they had a 659-246 yard edge and I called for Auburn to win by 3 in the Outback Bowl! I hope to have another great day with today’s forecasts on the five games. Read more…

Last year I had a Bowl Confidence Contest that generated a lot of interest on our site and we had hundreds and hundreds of entries. Last year I was at a disadvantage as I posted my plays first and they were up for everyone to see before they made their plays but I was pleased to finish #15 in the contest with 450 total points. If you followed my forecasts on the site last year I hit 24 of the 34 bowls for 71%. Read more…

One of the great debates in college football every year is which conference is the best. Fans across the country have their opinions and are usually divided to which area they live in. Many fans living in the Midwest have always felt that the Big 10 has been the best conference, while fans living in the South clearly feel that the SEC is the best. One of the ways in determining who has the best conference is taking the conference vs conference records. Since many schools schedule weaker opponents in their non-conference schedule, another key determination is taking the conference record vs bcs conferences. Read more…
