2010 Home/Away Average Attendance

Every year we list the average home attendance for all 120 teams in the magazine and where they rank in the NCAA. This year we have decided to also include the average away attendance giving an indication of which teams were playing in front of the biggest crowds and most hostile road environments.

Naturally, Michigan led the country again in home attendance while their Big 10 rivals Ohio St and Penn St came in #2 and #3 respectively. With recent additions to their home stadiums Alabama and Texas round out the top 5 knocking Tennessee out for the first time in several years.

In avergage away attendance the SEC dominated with 7 of the top 8 teams led by Ole Miss with an average of 80,158. Michigan thanks to road trips at Notre Dame, Penn St and Ohio St was the only non-SEC school. Read more…

Current Win/Loss Streaks

The Daily blog will be undergoing some changes in the coming months now that the college football season is complete. Starting this week I will be going to a Monday, Wednesday and weekend blog format until magazine season is over in late spring/early summer. Today’s blog will give you the teams with the longest winning/losing streaks overall, home and away in college football. This Saturday and Sunday I will give you my forecasts for the NFL divisional games played that day including my computer’s projected box score of the games. Next week will feature my projection of what the Preseason AP top 10 will be for 2010 and that will be coming after January 15th when juniors have to declare or not declare for the NFL Draft.
