2010 Senior Bowl

January 29th, 2010 No comments

The Senior Bowl has been played every year since 1950 and usually is the top postseason bowl where the best college players from all over the country showcase their skills to NFL coaches and scouts. The players are assigned to either the North or South team according to where they played in college and are coached by NFL staffs. This year the coaches are from the Miami Dolphins (South) and Detroit Lions (North).

Mobile has been the site of the game for every year except the 1st one where it was played in Jacksonville. The South leads the all-time series 29-25-3.

In today’s blog I will give you each coaching staff/roster complete with heights, weights, combine invitations, and PS# on all of the players participating.

I also included my unit grades for each position that take into account each players stats, experience, etc. The higher the grade the better the unit. Use each grade to matchup which team has the stronger unit for each position. Read more…

If you followed my forecasts on the site last year I hit 24 of the 34 bowls for 71%. Read more…

Heisman Projections

December 11th, 2009 No comments

First of all I would like to congratulate all those Browns fans that went down to the game last night. It was FREEZING with subzero wind chills in Cleveland and the Browns had one total win on the year. I think it speaks really well to the true 50,000 or so Die Hard Browns fans who showed up to support their team and clearly the Browns responded with their best performance of the season in the 13-6 win. The Browns sacked Steeler QB Roethlisberger 8 times and had a 255-216 yd edge including a 171-75 yd rush edge. It has been a really tough year in Cleveland but last night true Browns fans could finally be proud of their team.

Here are the five candidates for the 2009 Heisman Trophy. Today, I will give you the PROS and CONS for each winning the Award this year. The Award comes out on Saturday but here is my projections of the order of finish for this years top 5 that have been invited to New York.
